Touhou project

Touhou is a serises of games all made by one person his name is Zun
Touhou for the most part r denmaku game also called bullet hell shooter or scrolling shooter
the reason the series differs form most scrolling shooters is first the the things shotting aren't planes of star ships it is girls firing the lasers and bullets
another big part that as far as i can tell sets it a part is the bullet patterns, zun has made this the major point of most his game bosses, dodging all the bullet that are in very nice pretty patterns or chaotic ones at times with very little gaps between bullets and trying to shot down the enemy is the name of the game for touhou a good example of one of the bullet patterns is here:
marisa kirisame(all those stars are bullets and this is only normal)

now ill explain the games of touhou there are 19 games that r considerd to be offical touhou games 3 of which fighter games that r offical spin offs of the touhou games 2 photograph the bullet, 1 freeze the bullet game the other 13 are denmaku/scrolling shooter type games
the first 5 games where all for PC98 systems so now u need the pc98 emulator to run them
6 -Embodiment of Scarlet Devil was the first to be transferd to windows in which the games look and feel was set
most recent game to come out for touhou series was touhou 13 Ten Desires
official spin offs usually easy to tell which they r by the number cause it usually something like 7.5 - Immaterial and Missing Power
or 12.8 - Fairy Wars these r not like the rest of the touhou games but they still made by zun and feature different type of game play like 7.5 is 2d fighter 12.8 is freeze the bullet and so on

sorry for making it so many replies but it big game id like to explain as much as i can and doing 1 big post i feel is unorangized and hard to read.
next the big thing about this game is the Music the BGM and boss themes make this game awesome the music is all done by zun himself and usually reflect the character
a lot of the touhou themes have been remixed to the point that it take to long to listen to them all or count them, lets take marisas theme: love-colored master spark name a stle of music and i could probly find a remix of it

well now for the charcters this series has alot of charcters in it last i counted there where 118 offical ones and there probly ones i may have missed x.x
a good 113 to 114 are female out of those there the only male characters in touhou series r a turtle, a half youkai storekeeper, a half ghost, a cat and one of them is questionably male due to the obscurity of the characters game spirit and the dead brother of one of the bosses,
the 2 most important characters to the game is
Hakurei Reimu(last name, first name) : shinto miko of the hakurei shrine she has been the main charcter of all the touhou games up to fairy wars and shoot the bullet favorited move : fantasy seal
Marisa Kirisame(first name, last name): marisa is one of the most importent secondary main charcter in the touhou series she appeard in touhou 2 and from then on has been with reimu sovling incidents and second charcter choice for the game
favorite move: master spark
this list is some of my favorite character and some info on them

cirno usually live around misty lake near scarlet devil mansion
cirnos name is has been referred to ⑨ or baka since in the games most of the charcters see her as such
cirnos favorite catchphrase is "eye'm teh Strongest" which in given the avarages power of fairys she can be said to be the strongest fairy
cirno day was 09/9/09 it was referred to by touhou fans as the strongest day i consider september 9th still to be cirno day
cirno has one of the few characters to star in her own official touhou game touhou 12.8 fairy wars

now for the biggest reason i like the the touhou series the Fan made stuff now for obvious reason i wont show every thing but
enough to give an idea of how much the fans can add to it
first u should get to know rule ⑨
Rule ⑨ If it exist there's a touhou version of it
this rule is one that can be argured it it wrong but there more proof of it then against it
most reason the fans probly made it is cause fans will make touhou versions of everything
(no clue what people will reconize so here some touhou parodies)
